Whilst there are many association communities around the world, the IAL not only prides itself on being the only global leadership network for the association profession but we are a Community Interest Company and exist explicitly to benefit and serve our members and the wider community.
During 2021 we worked tirelessly to provide a platform for members' success. We delivered this for our community via our freemium membership, comprising relevant and meaningful benefits which were designed to enhance knowledge, skills and expertise, to strengthen peer support, and to advocate the value and impact of our professional community.
MEMBERSHIP FOR ASPIRING, ASSURED AND ADVANCED ASSOCIATION LEADERS
OUR MEMBER FOCUS
As we all know, a robust membership proposition is comprised of more than just a collection of products and services. A strong sense of belonging to a professional community is a major factor in deciding to join a membership body, and the growing strength of the IAL’s membership points to an innate, collective desire to belong. Ours is an expanding international community and the ability to connect at all levels, locally, nationally and across the globe is fundamental to supporting the sustainability, proficiency, innovation and camaraderie of professional association leadership.
We understand that by participating in and supporting the IAL, our members seek to belong and to give back to a profession that has given and continues to give so much. You are a part of that community, and your subscription will help us indelibly as we continue to grow, develop, influence, and deliver.

WHAT OUR MEMBERS SAY

The IAL is a supportive community of Chief Executives who come from diverse backgrounds and therefore offer diverse perspectives. I have learnt so much from them and it has equipped me to become a better leader.
Dr Marcia Philbin | Chief Executive of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FPM)
As a trade association leader, I naturally understand the benefits and power of networking, and sharing best practice.
In finding the best partner to work with, who delivers the right sort of support and benefits, is critical. In my development of the CFA, my personal development as an Association leader, and the development of my management team, I feel I have found that ideal partner in IAL.
Richard Catt | Chief Executive of the Contract Flooring Association (CFA)

Association leadership can be a lonely place but the Institute provides support and resources to empower those in leadership roles and make sense of the complex environment in which we work. The most effective association leader is one who is engaged, connected and supported. The IAL community helps enormously and I am delighted to be a member.
Dr Andrew Burman | Chief Executive of the British Dietetic Association (BDA)
