November Update

E-mail Print PDF
We are busy getting the program outlined for the June Annual Meeting in Louisville, Kentucky.  It looks to be a great program coming together so we hope many of you will be coming. Mark the dates:  June 16 for the Voice Institute, June 17-19 for the Annual Meeting.  The IAL cookbooks have gone out. I purchased some extra books knowing that there would be a few of you who have not paid for these, but would like to have one.  Send your requests to: Susan Reeves, IAL, WTRC 3001 S. Jackson Street,San Angelo, Texas 76904. Send me $11.00 for book and shipping and handling.  I think you will be pleased.  Thanks to all of you for your IAL support.  Susan

October 2009 Update

This month has been very busy.  Many phone calls, e-mails, etc. have been made in this office.  Several folks are now asking for the New Starter Kit information.   The New Voice Club of Hong King invited me or an IAL representative to attend their conference the first part of December.  The IAL office is starting to scan some information for a historical collection.  More should be coming out regarding the IAL program in Louisville, KY soon.  Mark the date cards have been mailed to vendors and more could be made available to clubs, upon request.

September 2009 Update

Most of the month I was in and out of the office for personal reasons.  I lost my mother to cancer, September 26th.  My mother-in-law had already been diagnosed last October with lung cancer.   We had been spending quality time with her, every 3 weeks since the first of November, but my mom's illness was unexpected and she passed only 2 1/2 weeks after her diagnosis was confirmed.  We lost my mother-in-law just 6 days later.  When I arrived home from my mother-in-law's funeral, I opened our mailbox and saw an IAL acknowledgement sent to me regarding my mom, from my mother-in-law.  They were friends and losing them in the same week was and remains difficult, but time heals.  Both ladies loved hearing stories of the IAL and the work done through the IAL.

August Update:

I flew to Louisville with Bob Herbst, Jeff Searl and Terrie Hall and met Richard Crum, host club coordinator.  The plans started coming together fairly quickly as Richard was able to bring the Sunnyville Convention and Visitors Bureau to our aide and show us some of the local area "places of interest".  It rained a large amount while we were there, which limited part of our ability to truly see the area and all the points of interest, but we saw enough to note, it will be a wonderful meeting and people will be in awe of all they can see and do.  The prices were exceptional from lodging to food to entertainment.  We left the meeting pleased with the sight meeting.
