THANKS TO ALL FROM THE IAL

E-mail Print PDF

THANK YOU:  West Texas Rehabilitation Center/Retired Senior Volunteer Program The WTRC RSVP program has graced not only the Concho Valley Lost Chords Club with the beautiful stoma covers for ladies, but now has begun making these for the International Association of Laryngectomees on a regular basis.  All of our new club starter kits will have several of the most beautiful scarves in them, which double loosely over the stoma, making a wonderful stoma cover and decorative dress item.  To date the RSVP program has given to the Concho Valley Lost Chords Club, the IAL and the Mexico Voice Institute approximately 2000 decorative scarves.  Thank you very much.  You have made several ladies road to recovery much easier and they love these items.

THANK YOU, NU-VOICE CLUB of KANSAS CITY!!!!!

The Nu-Voice Club of Kansas City donated 6 artificial larynx with the appropriate chargers to the IAl, for distribution to individuals who have no other means of obtaining these instruments.  The IAL office frequently gets calls from individuals who have had an alaryngeal speaker  who has no means of communication.    These gifts are precious to the recipients and are sent out upon request from a physician/speech pathologist or new voice club member.  If you have extra devices in your loan closet or need a device in order to start a loan closet, please contact the IAL office.  Upon availability we ship them out upon request.  Since the implementation of this program last year, the IAL office has sent out 13 devices.

THANK YOU, LOST CORD CLUB OF VERO BEACH!!!!!

The Lost Cord Club Of Vero Beach donated two artificial larynxes with the appropriate chargers to the IAL. Jim Lauder refurbished 4 sets for the Vero Club, the other two went to Bob Smilely President of the FLA. Thanks go to Jim Lauder and Jim Gilbert for their generosity.
